Have you installed openAL ?
You can get it to http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/ ... alinst.zip .
I suggest you to make some tests with /s_useOpenAL (0 or 1) after having installed openAL.

Now my dedicated servers are running with 1.1 version !!
I only kept 2 of them, I think this is enough now we released 1.1.

Probably an issue with OpneAL, try to lower the "gain" value.

OK, everyone who had the same problem of the "trying to download “sg_pak0.pk3″ file from the server..." message, the problem is solved.

Use the full installer from here: http://www.smokin-guns.org/downloads.
The RC1 and RC2 releases from the SG forum download page seem to cause the problem.

After wiping out (also from the user directory) and reinstalling the game completely, it has launched successfully. Thanks a lot, Biondo and Bart, for your help.

hey guys,

i just donwloaded and played the 1.1 a little and its really good ... i just have one problem ... i cant set the "cl_mouseAccelOffset" lower than 0.00100 .. console says thats the minimum ... i have always played with "cl_mouseAccelOffset" 0.00000 in the 1.0 and it of course feels different for me now in the 1.1 ... so is there a possiblity to change this ?

thanks, muffin

There's one bug (the same as in 1.0) very unfortunate when speaking about attracting new players. If you want the full list of online servers you have to roll through "Internet>>Favorite>>...>>back to Internet" an then click "Get the list". We can only guess how many of newcomers will have the luck of finding the way :| Otherwise you get 1 or no servers at all. In 1.0 you could also break updating by ESC and then "get the list" again, but in 1.1 the update is faster to notice this solution. I don't think it's only my problem, because I checked it on 2 computers, both Win and Linux.

Sorry direct Mac support is simply missing. I hope we will add this direct support in next release.

Does anyone know will Jeuxlinux refreshed to 1.1?
And if so, when ?
Looks like players are gone because Jeuxlinux is on 1.0

Looks like rifles are a bit better now in 1.1 which is very nice.
(I was thinking why my deadwood isn't included, I was little disappointed :/)

We are planning to have an official server for auto-downloading contributor's map, but it's not up right now ;)

dansh created a Debian/Ubuntu repository, you can find all needed to get it working on your deb-based linux distribution on that post.
Thank you dansh !!

Hey, I have some guys who have sound problems, what can you do ? It's horrible to play with. Sound is wrong if you understand. A video will follow

i have the same problem ... it is hard to explain what happens with sounds ... in some parts of the map the footsteps of the enemies suddenly disappears although the distance to the player is very short and in 1.0 i have heard enemies there
but that's only in some maps: durango, alamo II, mexico and few more

example in durango:
player stands here:

i can hear enemies in the green area ... but in the red their footsteps disappear:

any idea what the problem might be and what the solution is ?

thanks in advance, muffin
