September Update

Postby ReD NeCKersoN » Sat Sep 02, 2006 12:04 am

With summer nearly over, our vacationing dev members are trickling back to WQ3. As a bonus, we've added to our ranks by one. I'd like to tip my hat to hika as he joins the Smokin' Guns to help out on the coding front & anywhere else he might be able to. With dev members in North America, Norway, Germany, and now France...wow! Spanning the globe to bring six shooter goodness to the gun-slinging masses. :D

It's looking like we're hoping to release WQ3 version 2.2 in October. With a nice set of enhancements & a fistful of new maps, it should be a real treat for established fans & novices alike. With these 2.2 additions, the stand-alone is also obviously taking a very nice step towards completion. Have a look at the pic-o-the-week for another glimpse at the new version of Train. (I'll post another new Train pic by next week.) Woooot-wooot!!! I'ts getting interesting around here!

Hey thanks Pardner ! You too are really doing well with your map contributions 8)
It is cool that Western Quake3 is still growing up, thanks to the new maps, the 2.2 version and all the forum contributors !
I hope that public servers will be filled morel for this new coming season ;)
It will be quite a reward for the WQ3 community and crews !
