When I try join Serv0r on Internet, there is an err0r - "INVALID GAME FOLDER". I have 1.22b WQ3 version, and the proper 1.32 Q3 version.
I see only Linuxmint.com server, which is 1.22 too.
I have no idea why that's happens.

If you installed with the zip, you may have extracted the contents to the wrong location?

We'll need more information then. What OS? And I guess you are using the retail version of Q3 since you installed the point release?

OS = Windows XP SP2.

Which is the retail version?
If I understood well, I can tell You that I installed fresh, clean version of Q3 and then I've installed Q3A 1.32, then I installed WQ3 1.20, and then installed WQ3 1.22.

Can you send a screenshot of one folder further up?

Do you own the CD with Quake III Arena? (This would be the retail version).

Hi Josif and welcome to the forums !
You might help us by running the game with the following command line :
Code: Select all
quake3.exe +set fs_game westernq3 +set logfile 2

You can create a .bat file containing the characters string above, and put the newly created file on the same directory as the quake3.exe.
Then, execute the .bat file. The game should be launched with no problem.
Try connecting to any public server, like you usually do.

After you quit the game, a qconsole.log file should lie on your westernq3 directory. You and we might see some precious informations in the file. :D

This may help us ... and you.

just to be clear.... do you mean that you installed 2.0b and then 2.2b? also, the update is from 2.1 to 2.2. Have you tried just downloading the full 2.2b zip/exe?

It sounds like wq3 launches, thats why I was wondering if maybe you were using the wrong release rev. -just my thoughts
