Couldn't write baseq3?

Postby Mole » Tue Sep 14, 2004 10:58 pm

I get this message in the console (and on screen) whenever I connect and play Western Quake. It doesn't seem to affect gameplay, but it pushes other messages off the screen as this message repeats. Doesn't appear in Quake Arena or any other Mod I try (True Combat, Urban Terror, Q3 Fortress)

What is this and how can I get rid of it? Thanks.

well, i never heard of this message, but maybe a .pk3 file in your westernq3 folder is read-only and it shouldnt be so.. :? (??)

Couldn't write baseq3?

Good advice. It was actually the q3key in the baseq3 directory that was read only. I unchecked that attribute, loaded the game and no error message.

Thanks, again.
