Blocking Bunny Jumping

Postby Hideous » Sat Jan 10, 2009 12:26 am

Bunny jumping is an unrealistic and very annoying movement in where the opponent hammers his space key, so he keeps repeatedly jumping.

In real life, you get very tired from doing such a thing, so I suggest that you make smaller and smaller hops unless you don't take breaks between jumps. I'm not gonna be able to do it myself, but it's certainly possible within the engine (Heat of Battle for CoD did it, and that's the Q3 engine).

Just a suggestion.

In SG the distance you jump already decreases significantly with each consecutive jump, which I found renders bunnyhopping useless, anyway :)
But your idea also sounds like it would work very will with the movement in SG.

No offense, but your topic is not related to coding, please post your suggestion on the "feedback forum".

Well I would have if I had actually noticed the feedback forum.

And hey, you would have to actually code it ;)

I think you mean the Saloon. The old Feddback Forum is archived now & locked.
