SG q3map2 source

Postby steve » Wed Jan 05, 2011 1:31 am

Where would I find this? I've done a search and only found a couple of threads talking about it and some reasoning as to why it is not on the SVN.

I'd like split the changes into a patch and apply it to NetRadiant's q3map2 build (faster, with many, many more features).

Cheers.

If you do so and maybe also pack the SG specific Radiant files, then I could add them to my so far "World of Padman" specific build of NetRadiant :)

Our q3map2 is not currently in the Sourceforge SVN, but I believe it did get committed at one time or another and then removed. Doing a quick look into the log, I see that sparcdr committed a folder "stable/code/tools/q3map" in r14. After that I think it was removed when the conventional tags/trunk/branches layout was used so I am not sure what the newest rev of the q3map is.

I found THIS on my hard drive. I hope it's what you need.
Embarrassing to say, but I don't know where these files belong on the svn. Maybe another dev can help us out?

My dream is to have Urban Terror's q3map2 compatible with SG... They have a really nice feature named "flood light" ...

@ Steve: what are those feature NetRadiant's q3map2 have ?

All the features from Urban Terror's q3map2 and many more new ones. It also contains bug fixes and speed improvements.

Wooohooooo !!! It sounds really interesting !

I think Tequila or Torhu should know where to get SG's q3map2 sources, so we have to wait for them ;)
(I will email Tequila right now)

I should've looked at the files I posted a bit closer before uploading. Sorry it's of no help for compiling purposes.

I've had a quick look through it and it seems to be what I'm after (surface flags + .tex file generation).

Will have a go at doing this next week.

p.s - This is related to another project of mine... ;)
