Should we take up a collection to get them broadband, or did you talk them into it?

We are 1 mile from the termination point for DSL, the cable company does not have cable wires run on our road, and the direct tv fellas said that we would need to clear cut the backside of our property just to see the satellite (/me starts chainsaw).

What I may look into is those Sprint and Verizon PCMCIA cars (or what ever their names are) We get cell service so maybe those might be faster than dial-up

Is anyone still alive in here? Will my portion of the duel level go to waste for this project? :(

You're right, you're right ... hell, is there any place in the world where I can buy time? Or anything like "Mapping as a Service" in India or so?

Ok, here it goes. A VERY EARLY try at a duel portion. Admittedly, it is a very strange idea. I am trying to compensate with weird ideas since I can't do anything as nice as Red. I have been toying with the idea of doing something like train one day. A collection of rafts that carry logs downstream is strange yes but I can't think of anything else  ... the rafts need more cover and some fine tuning. falling into the water results in death. So you need to watch your footsteps as well as cover on this. The starting positions should be somewhat balanced since all provide fast access to cover.

Any opinions?

Looks cool! :D Maybe the rafts could even move a bit relative to each other, to make it more risky to go from on to the other?

I like the raft idea and don't find it strange.

Very cool! Back in the old days, many of the bays on my big lake here were filled with logs for the mills. You could run accross the tops, but you didn't dare fall through! Great idea!

If I get Radiant working on my MacBook's XP boot, I'll do something for sure.

I refuse to let my map part go to waste! It's about 98% finished now & feels pretty good to me, as far as gameplay & atmosphere are concerned. (I might add a few more decorations?) I know Joe Kari already has some very nice duel parts, so maybe he & I can come up with enough material to make a complete level in due time. If not, I'll just hang onto this untill I can make my own du_map.

Please don't let that go to waste, Red. That atmosphere is really nice. I especially like the look of the spray from the falls and the shadows.

For those who were around for the beta testing of NoNameCity, you might remember I tried to make a cool snow effect for the BR version. The snow killed frame rate and I didn't like how it looked on a large map.
Well, I brought back the snow effect and used it a smaller DU section. Here are some early screens:

I don't think the frames will suffer from the snow (probably from the trees if anything). Still got some work to do, but I will try to get a video up when I get more done.
