With cordite in the air, splintered steel, shell casings and powder burns, there’s only one explanation...
Let's face it, SG could sure use some talented modellers.

UPDATE!!!!

It's taken me a while and I'm pretty far from being done but I do have something to show for it.

Check the Links:

Render 2-

As I make progress on the models I plan to post images and such related to them. Also if anyone can skin models i would appreciate some help in that regard. And remember I'm not the only one who can be working on character models.

looks nice, maybe too many triangles here & there but who knows, my models are not that economical also (at least not for q3 anyway).

WOW, that's looking great :D

I don't want to add more to your plate, and I don't know if someone has already said something like this. (I have seen like 2 western movies in my life  ) but could you make some one like this?

I think his name was Ned Kelly.

but definitely the head.

PS: what would I need to download for me to make my own guys?

FYI, Ned Kelly was an Australian outlaw, in his final showdown with the Australian police he and his brothers wore armour they'd made out of pieces of metal. I highly recommend a book called "True History of the Kelly Gang" by Peter Carey, it's a really interesting fictional account of Ned Kelly's life.

Another Update

Postby Dred » Thu Jan 21, 2010 3:19 am

:P So today I was fortunate enough to finish the facial modeling on the Pinkerton, I also shortened the brim of the hat to a slightly more realistic length. Here are two renders of the Pinkerton's head, they both have smoothing (cause it looks good) and edges (to see more edge detail) turned on. Please let me know what y'all think about it.

Hard to say too much about these early "wip" screenshots, except that you're obviously making progress. Looking forward to more.
