With cordite in the air, splintered steel, shell casings and powder burns, there’s only one explanation...
Let's face it, SG could sure use some talented modellers.

Why think big, think smaller. What if we had a pistol that would have 12-round cylinder and would use .22 as ammo, AKA. low damage, damage would need to be balanced well, otherwise it would be overpowered.

Since remington kills from 2 heads, this spraygun shall from 3, just barely. But it must have very fast fire rate when using fire2, this is like rusher's pistol. I think it could be like so you cant buy it right at beginning, perhaps 22 dollarz.

Reloading should be perhaps a little slower than S&W x 2 (since it has 12 rounds) And it should be swing-out cylinder so that ejection (haha eject urself) is fast.

Hmm, in the movie Clint Eastwood as "Joe Kid" gets the drop on "Simms" and ends up with a C96 "Broomhandle" Mauser. It somewhat fits the description you mentioned, and certainly seems to be in the genre.
Well...Mr. Chain Blue Lightnin' hisself..heh, heh!

C96 is much too late for a Western Game. Wasn't in widespread use till World War 1. Perhaps instead the Le Faucheux 20 shot revolver?

Actually the C96 was started in 1896, so it was used in the later part of the Old West. But I agree that it looks modern. They hyped it up in "Joe Kid" as a new-fangled shootin' iron, but even there it didn't seem quite "Old West". That 20 shot still looks Western!

The Le Faucheux 20 shot revolver looks very interesting does anyone know a video of shooting and reloading one.

I also think that the Mauser C96 looks to much like WW1 and WW2.

My suggestion would be a Volcanic pistol.

you could call it a Winchester for one hand.

But I will finch my next map (maybe 1 - 3 weeks) before I start making a new gun.

Not a good weapon for the quick draw, I wager.

Pistol Volcanic 0.41 whitewash
Type: To dig
Company of original production: Volcanic Repeating Arms Co.
Model: Lever Action Navy Pistol
Year: 1855
Bore: 41 Whitewash.

The first pistols for action of the handspike had been based on a Horace Smith and Daniel B. Clear Wesson of 1854. The pistols Smith & Wesson had been made in Norwich, Connecticut 1854-1855. In 1855, Oliver F. Winchester if became an active investor and H. The Smiths and DB Wesson both had left the company. In July of 1855, the name was changed for Repeating Arms Company Volcanic and, later, for New Haven Arms Company, opening an important chapter in the history of the Winchester. The production of the pistols volcanic lasted up to 1860. Two models had been produced: Navy pistol 0.41 whitewash. with 6 “/8”/16 “of 0.31 pipe and one pocket pistol whitewash. with 3 ½ "/6 “of pipe.
Its recarregamento is made below of the mouth of the pipe, having dislocated a “piece” of the front of it, its pipe measures 8 counts, its ammunition capacity is of 8 bullets, having a recharge system similar to the one of winchester '73, that they say was based on this powerful pistol.

Watch the second video.
holding on the wooden handle with your thumb, you can cock the gun with the other two fingers.

so it could be used as the other pistols Sg.

here is a little update of my Volcanic pistol modeling process.

I have overworked the textures of the weapon and i'm quite contented on my result.

But look yourself:

Wow, Donut, nice work! I'm impressed. Really good rendering of the decorations.
Only thing to add: maybe a little bit of metal reflection. But I'm not an expert.

I like it. Winchester 1866 pistol :D
If they add this for sg 1.1 this would be my favourite gun.
Good work!
