Hang'em Hi

Postby Wh1sper » Sun Jan 04, 2009 4:46 pm

I like the Map Hang'em Hi best!
Very good work.

How about a poll about the maps?

Having to decide which map is my favorite is like trying to decide what type of ice cream is my favorite. I LIKE THEM ALL!

If you want to make a poll, just edit your first post. :D

The thing that I find with the maps is it depends on the players I'm playing with. When it's Pard, Joe, Breli, and/or Red, I usually love Train, Hang'em High, Dawnfort, and Nonamecity. With newbs I love trying out Dry, it's a great map to start with. (it's also the first map I played of the game. :D)

Coyote Bluff I love in appearance but I've not yet had great experiences on it (mostly due to only fighting bots or just one or two people, not a nice sized group). The br_coyotebluff game yesterday was probably the best I've had. I've spent more time filming on that map than actually playing it.

Oh yeah, I do love Tillian because I have fond memories of pwning everybody on that one. Not that I can do that again. >_<

I agree with Pard, though, it's really hard to choose a favorite map. There's ones I may prefer, but it all depends on situation and mood and the circumstances of the players.

A poll might be good for figuring out what style of map works best in the game, though. :)

When asked what's my favorite map, Train immediately comes to mind. I've always loved it even back in the old beta 1.2 days when it wasn't pretty to look at.

My favorite map with bots is Dawn Fort. With human players, Train. Hang'em Hi is a hell with so many high-level shooters... 8O

A new map that seems to me very good, with a so special feeling, is Steamboat, but I can't say really, I miss real experience of.

And I love Alamo too. Yeah, it's hard to make a choice.

But I don't like CoyoteBluff, I don't know why.
I'm the n00b... No mercy !

A Sawed off and Hang Em High always calls for some fast pace and fun gaming, and Tillian is really fun.

Thanks a million guys :)

How do they say? "Auch ein blindes Huhn findet mal ein Korn!" ... which is roughly like "every dog has its day" ;)

I haven't voiced my opinion here since i really don't know which map I like best. It really depends on soooooo many things: the people you are playing with, your own mood, the mood of the others, the number of players ... the "art" or type of game (very fast run and gun or more tactical for instance).

I had incredible shootouts with Hellrider on CoyoteBluff, spent one hour playing an early beta of Backwater with Eagle alone (!) each of us having 2 or 3 kills and sneaking around the edges, enjoyed a fantastic towhuwabohoo on HeH with ~15 players (5 of them got killed during initial spawning ), got a real blast out of train regularly ...

I really can't say which one I like most (or least for that matter).

Damn! If you guys keep schmoozing me here I have to make another map ...

Agreed. It is the only map where I really like deathmatch. Running through that map with a sawed-off shotty is pretty epic. I remember playing with you on this map before too. :P
