Ah, that's good to know, but I guess all of the pictures are bigger than 640x480 :)

If they are bigger than 640x480 it re-sizes them.

If we are to use them in our map loading screens they would have to be sized down anyway. We would have you email them to us and not save off the web page..

Soon the whole forum will have a fixed size of 640x480 for all images posted whether they are hosted here or not. We still have a lot of visitors that run 800x600 desktops 8O

Anyway. Great work on the pics. I like em

Ah well, in that case I think having the thumbnails with included links here is the best compromise :)

And like I said, just tell me how you need those pictures. I also tried making the original screenshots a bit brighter and probably increase the contrast, like on the second Backwater picture, and it's definitly more visible. So if you need that I might redo them all. Apart from the Santa Cruz ones, I guess :D

You might also want to make a pic for Train too. The BR version had some issues and will be included with the next release. The safe is in the same spot for both DM and BR though, so it's not a problem to make one from the DM version

Phew, alright. I've significantly increased the brightness and contrast on the original shots and redid every picture with those. I've also used different shots for Farm, a different one for Mexico and added the Santa Fe Express. Lastly, a very serious typo in Hang'em High's pic has been fixed, hehe.

I like those new ones, hope you do as well :)

So, last but not least I remade that wallpaper. It probably doesn't really make a good desktop background, but it might be used for quick reference or so :D

EDIT: This post moved here by ReD

Good day,
I was thinking about the question that everyone asks when stars to play BR mode (not only newbies but experienced FPS players as well). The question is - "Where are these bags?".
So, I decided to do a little spoiler here for everyone. Also I wanted to name each bag on each map to make it easier to talk about them. Each map has two bags. I think that it is nice to call each of them as #Upper (#U) and #Lower (#L). Any church is treated as #Upper on doubtable maps.
This way in near future we may have predefined binds for team-say command in config file which will ship with the game or even may be we'll have a complete a team-say-binds menu section in controls menu. But that is other discussion in some other thread some other day.
Now I want only to spot each bag on each map and name it according to #Upper and #Lower names.
I do here a spoiler. If you don't want to spoil fun of exploring every map by yourself - don't look inside that spoiler! But if you just want to start BR from scratch or just to check out my suggested names - welcome!

Here would be another way to show important BR locations. SantaCruz in this example.

Image

Start game in console:
/devmap santacruz
Then I have keys bound to remove certain things:
bind ' "toggle cg_drawGun"
bind b "toggle cg_draw2d"
bind l "toggle noclip"

You'll see the "hall of mirrors" effect once you go outside of the map. The best you can do is to compose your screenshot from an angle like I did to avoid getting any strange stuff in the photo. Lastly, edit with photoshop or similar program.
