Cash rewards in BR mode

Postby Ugly » Mon Feb 09, 2009 10:24 pm

Could someone enlighten me on how the cash rewards are meant to work on BR mode?

If you are dead and your team fails to rob the bank are there any circumstances you would start the next round with more $ than when you died?

I'm not sure if I have spotted a bug, a feature or whether I am imagining things here ...

Everyone in the winner team in BR or RTP get 16$, in the loser team 10$. If you get the moneybag, you get 10$ instantly (not the team, only the one that rob it), if you escape with it, you get 10$ more (for everyone in the team).
If you have less than 20$, you respawn with 20$. That's all ;)

I that case I think I've found a bug. I've been a dead man on a loosing team and repeatedly got stacks of $ for no reason.

I've not yet worked out the cause, at one point I thought it was from following a team mate who managed to rack up kills but now I'm wondering if its from games where I've swapped teams mid game. If I work it out I'll post it as a bug but I'm sure I've been getting more than my fair share of $ in some games.

when you spectate a teammate in 1st person view you can see their money. so if they steal the money bag, you will see a $10 increase. if they kill an opponent, you will see a $ increase, etc.

I've been disappointed by this! I'm following someone who has $100 and then when i spawn i realize i've spent all my money on cigars and whiskey and can only buy a Schofield :|

If you die too much time, I saw in the code, that you can have 'social help' money. If I remember well, you should die at least 3 time without killing anybody. I don't remember the amount of money you receive...

That's a good thing, in my opinion. Many times I've been on a team that got behind at the start of the round, and the other team soon has so much money and firepower that they're nearly impossible to beat. This keeps things a little more competitive.

This is something that looks old, since it was coded by Spoon himself, but to be honest, I have never seen it in action, so I was really surprised when I found that in the code :D
