A fistful of El Paso

Postby Ugly » Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:21 am

I watched A Fistful of Dollars last night for the first time since playing smokin guns. I had never clocked that El Paso is a carbon copy of the film set.

I could tell where all the action was taking place even before the shots panned as I could recognise small features on the buildings.

Amazing job DeadKennedy.
Ugliness is a state of mind.

Most the maps are inspired by film, which are in turn representations of the real places. Most of Clint Eastwood's time was spent in Italy after all, but the feeling was very much Mexico and Texas.

Most of the mappers here enjoy watching the films and we usually take screenshots of the movies. I know I have a massive bin of screenshots for whenever I feel creative :D
