With cordite in the air, splintered steel, shell casings and powder burns, there’s only one explanation...
If you have any trouble with SG, this is the place to ask.

Hey, that's good! It means something like "handicap shortens your life", doesn't it?

It means exactly that...

For "World of Padman" there was a similar problem and the result of discussions was; just leave it English.

Uh... translated game = more players.

At least, here in Brazil, the 1997 game Outlaws was translated, and that brought A LOT of (brazilian) players to online playing...
Brazilian people always say to me this game needed to be translated so they can REALLY understand what the objectives are and what they are doing. I agree. :)

General gameplay rules and objectives aren't explained in-game anyways. This should be solved with some sort of wiki or maybe videos with subtitles.
After all, the game is not that hard to learn. It's "just" a modified Q3, so it is a FPS with some tactics ;)

You have a point. Still, there is virtually no explanation what the handicap settings actually does out there and this is something that needs to be addressed. Whether we add something to the tutorial\game docu (which is never read anyway) or provide some kind of explanation screen in game doesn't really matter.
SG name: =SG= BRELI

Harmonica: Did you bring a horse?
Gunmen: Looks like we are short on one horse!
Harmonica: No. You brought two too many.

Maybe instead of calling it a "Handicap" call it a "Self Handicap"?

How about some ingame advertising: "Use Handicap! Die quick!"
