With cordite in the air, splintered steel, shell casings and powder burns, there’s only one explanation...
If you have any trouble with SG, this is the place to ask.

The error report: S_AL_Checkinput: handle ... out of range

Postby Alexcostariha » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:03 pm

I installed the game for Ubuntu Linux 8.10. I had some installation problems with it. I wrote about its at Saloon named "How can one to install Smokin' Gun on Ubuntu 8.10 ?".
During the game is playing I can see at left corner some different information. Also I can read the next error reports :
Error: S_AL_Checkinput: handle 468335 out of range
Error: S_AL_Checkinput: handle 1139884032 out of range
It is typed by red letters. Is it good playing situation or may be it is report about some system error ?
Thank you.

I've got these errors too, but they don't seem to mean anything. I can still play the game as usual.

Check whether input values from mods are out of range.
Necessary for i.g. Western Quake3 mod which is buggy.

Might be a problem with SG's soundfiles?
