Wondering if it is possible to set Primary and Secondary fire to one button? And if so, how?

yup:

Code: Select all
/bind <key> "+button6; +attack"

It gets a little weird when reloading akimbo (duel) pistols because it will reload the right hand first, then the left hand. But it will fire both pistols at the same time, while still being able to reload. Also, if you bind it to MOUSE2 (default secondary fire) you can still use it with the shotguns. Nice little bind!

Thanks alot. I got the duel fire to work, but for instance when I use the peacemakers it reloads the left hand completely full before it loads any in the right hand

bind MOUSE4 "+button6; +attack"

did i do something wrong or did i misunderstand you when you were talking about reloading

Yeah, that is what I meant. It reloads one pistol first every time because that one is what comes first in the bind.

Ok thanks. Another question I have is about setting my mouse wheel to switch weapons. How do you go about that. And I apologize for these novice questions.

Nevermind I'm an idiot, found it in the controls of the game. Thanks again for the tips.

hmmmmmm..... I am not use I understand you correctly:
Code: Select all
bind MWHEELDOWN "weapnext"
bind MWHEELUP "weapprev"

That is in the default.cfg and should be automatically loaded by the game. This will make it so the mousewheel scrolls through the weapon select menu as in Halflife, Halflife2, CS, CSS, etc.

Assuming you already knew this, I am guessing you want to have the scroll wheel automatically change to the next weapon thus avoiding the weapon select menu (Quake3 style). Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this off the top of my head. I have a good idea, but need to test my script first.
