Postby Crank » Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:01 pm

haya guys... :)

I have a question about the resolution... I've got a new monitor with 1900x1080. The monitor is great, but the resolution isn't aviable for Smokin Guns :D is it possible to change it somewhere?
sorry for my english :)

its an old thread. there has been some other threads about high resolution. I think 1.1b4 has improvements for custom resolution.

As Pardner said 1.1b4 does have your resolution in the regular setup, and it works very nicely! Earlier 1.1 versions you can set the cvar "r_mode" to 16, I think for your monitor. 1.0 versions you have to use the method as per Red_sunset in Pardner's link. The 1.1b4 is a wide screen option and gives the best image and performance. :)

How could the beta engine lag? Lag is caused by network inconsistencies of your network connection. You propably mean the framerate is not as stable as in the previous version.
Even this can not be generalized, or did you really test both engine versions under the exact same circumstances?

I guess his 'lag' is the beginning of a round on Jeux. :D
Cause if you got the beta, you get most of the time late for the first round.

Just a thought, a friend of mine just did that same upgrade with his new monitor, and he had to download the latest video drivers for his particular graphics card. Then it ran smooth.
