How I run my Smokin Guns in windows 7?

Postby [PTR]Manoel Victor » Sun May 22, 2011 2:04 am

I have 7 windows here, but every time I try to run GS on it, it gives the opengl problem, that of not could load openGL subsystem.
That sucks, I already downloaded millions of OpenGL on the Internet, but none is compatible with Windows 7, is there any plugin, program, or "trick" in order to run GS on windows 7?
Now thanks.

You can start playing? Or you can't start it to play?

openGL-errors are usually caused by missing (or old) graphic-card-drivers.

I'd recommend to update those.

try run sg in mode compatibility to windows XP or vista. u can do it clickng the right button and go to property in shortcut of u smokin guns.exe!

if doesnt work try see if your video card drive is installed correctly on your pc. If u have a CD of your video card try install using it again, if not try get the drivers on internet.

I am also running the full pro 64 bit Windows 7, and SG1.4 works very nice, and good graphics. But as has been mentioned, I do keep my graphics card drivers up to date. (I had an SG beta not work once, and I got the latest Nvidia driver and it was perfect). I didn't have to download any opengl drivers. What is your video card?

I too needed to run the 1.1b4 version of smokin-guns when using Windows 7. Give the beta a try and see how it works:
