Some feedback for the 1.1b5 client.

Single Player runs very smooth. No crashes, no bullshit.

Lago Map looks weird.

Some pk3 files (namely sg_maps0.pk3) seem to be missing. The only server that has autodownloading enabled is terra nova as it seems and therefore is the only one i can connect to at all. I however have no textures ingame on that server. Two other guys (ak and jurao) tried the same, with the same result. Connecting to other servers is not possible at all.

EDIT:
I see, compatibility with 1.0 is broken. By editing the pk3 file as mentioned some posts above, compatibility with 1.1b4 seems kinda broken, too. Terra Nova is running 1.1b4. Here is a screenshot
from that server to show the problems.

Not sure, but I think there are 2 different Lago maps (one for BR and one for DM). Probably in TerraNova there is a third type, that is a custom misture of the two (e.g, probably is BR map adapted by TheDoctor to be played in DM mode).

The screenshot for Lago was taken from a local game.

Re: A CALL to the community - SG 1.1 beta 5

Hi guys,

What SG needs the most at the moment, is people voting here.
If you want to have SG 1.1 out soon, that's what you have to do.
Only 6 votes for instances, that's not enough to be sure that the current beta is stable.

First post edited: ModDB link.
We still need people to vote there.

I'd be glad to help, but I don't understand if there is a mac release of this beta version. If not, is there a way I can make one (don't know anything about how it works though)?

At this time, there isn't any Mac guy in the Dev team.

You could try your luck with the source code here:
http://smokinguns.svn.sourceforge.net/v ... 1-release/

If you manage to compile a binary, copy it in you SG1.1b5 directory and run it.
If it works well, we will provide your build for download, and every Mac user will be happy :p

Joe Kari, please add a link to download in the first post. It is convenient for Russia and Eastern Europe.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps it makes sense to make a new version on a different protocol, because it is not compatible with previous versions?
