At least provide a classic zip. Package maintainers will thank you.

Joe Kari wrote:Should we change the SG 1.1 preferences directory to something else?
Something like ".smokinguns1.1", to avoid this kind of bugs?

Nah. If you want to do nasty workarounds like this, just give BASEGAME a proper name like "basesg" (thus ~/.smokinguns/basesg/).

P.S.: Why "BBCode is OFF" (for me and here only)? This breaks the quotes :(

EDIT by Joe Kari: it looks like BBCode doesn't work on this thread, I don't know why...
@Tequila: is there anything in the config that forbid use of BBCode for non-admin in global announcement? I'm tired of editing post

Same here. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I'd say.

The game don't have a screen resolution of 1600x900. I ask you to put this resolution in the game.

The server list shows servers of earlier versions of the game. When we click, instead of just giving a message of incompatibility, the game crashes and closes.

Sometimes the music enters in a repetitive loop of 1 second.

Note: I tested the game on Windows XP SP3 32bit

It would be nice if that was a selectable preset via menu, but even 1400x1050 is not listed. There are nearly 50 different, more or less relevant resolutions that one would have to list there for a complete coverage - too much for such a switching selector. Nevertheless it is possible for you to set this as any other resolution, by open the in-game console (keyboard shortcut: Shift-Esc) and typing in the following commands:
Code: Select all
\seta r_mode -1
\seta r_customwidth 1600
\seta r_customheight 900
\seta r_customPixelAspect 1
\vid_restart

I had a funny one on Alamo2 today.

There's a carriage between the tower and the gate and the saloon, and when you jump on one of this carriage's wheels (or walk onto it with strafe), you can fall of it and hit the ground very heavily. I got down to 26 HP in that crash.

Somehow resembles all the old bugs related to ladders. Instead of letting the player climb up, it pushes him heavily against the ground.

In the game Alien Arena the player himself can enter any number of desired screen resolution in the game menu. You could not put this option in Smokin Guns?

It might be listed already. Have a look at /modelist and set /r_mode VALUE accordingly where VALUE is the identifier of the desired resolution in /modelist

I think it must be an installation error on your side.

Téquila, OK, it works if I logout, but not when I log in.

Other problems:
- OLD: stull missing BBcode buttons here
- NEW: I cannot edit my own posts any more (no Edit button)

Bart, it's a full install, that means you have to unzip it in its own directory, not inside previous install.
