Sorry for such irregular updates in this thread folks. Seems the topic migrated back and forth between this thread and a couple of others in our private sections of the forum. (See, you should have been a tester! :P )
The last set of screenshots posted here are close enough to the end result that I won't bore you with more pics of basically the same thing. I mostly wanted to say that the dm, tdm, rtp version of the map is 99% done by my estimation & the bot "fps chop" is resolved. Whether or not I implement a br mode will determine the release date. If bank robbery doesn't make it into the level, I'll make one of my infamous predictions and suggest you'll be able to download a final version in July.

Hey, there is quite an improvement, from the first pics to the latest :)
After seeing the first ones, the orange and the nightly sky was looking great.
I wonder if it can be present in the map ... perhaps randomly ?
Moreover, I love the fire in the night. That recalls me some indian atmosphere and style.

Sorry, if my suggestion is a bit late, as I did not know the overall map progress, and this topic ...
Till then, I expect more the br mode.

I've been toying with the idea of using the night sky (the dark one with the moon) for the br version. (I want to save the orange sky for another project I hope to do someday.) Since there are no night time br maps, I think this would be cool & we get 2 different atmospheres from basically the same level. In fact, I already tried it & it doesn't look bad. A couple of campfires & some lighting tweaks is all it needs. I'll post a couple of screenshots soon to show you the difference. The only bad thing is doubling the size of the download. As far as I know, by using a different sky I can't just use the same map & have a cfg file switch between br and other modes the way Breli did for BackWater. Not sure if that's a big deal to anyone or not. On the plus side, I could go ahead & release the dm version in July, followed by the br version later on.

TIFA says "The map is to beautiful to kill other player on it and to daub the idyll."

Yes, sometimes it is nice to wander the map alone without putting in bots, just to enjoy being in a pleasant virtual space. If only there was a rocking chair on the cabin porch, so I could put my boots up on the rail and pull my hat over my eyes.

Actually, the idea came to me when I was trying the various skyboxes at the beginning of this thread. But you can take credit for it if it makes you feel good. Btw, any news on wq_lake? I'm hankerin' to play that map dammit.

Yes, that porch needs a rocking chair. Maybe I'll put one there for you.

Great news Lethal! Can't wait to play The Lake again.

Some preliminary screenies of what a possible br version of Coyote Bluff at night could look like.

Wah ! With light fire and fire camp, it looks great !
Stealth assassins, be ready :)

BTW, I have a question :
Is it possible to darken the night as the time passed in the map ?
It's not a suggestion, just a question. I do not want to delay the map release :D
Perhaps, most of you will think that it is useless :|
