q3map2 by El Valkond etc.

Red, can you please upload the q3map2 you're using somewhere? Because the link you posted some time ago on the testers forum doesn't work anymore, and I would like to see the new release.

Thanks :)

Maybe I will find some motivation and time to work on a new map :|

It's included in the wq3_b21_update file. There's no new version as far as i know.

Is there a Linux version anywhere or anybody can provide it? I would like to work on maps on Linux.

Q3map2 was customized for wq3 by El Vakond. Unfortunately, we haven't heard from him since September 2005. And he's the only one who's got the source code. So there probably won't be a linux or mac version of it anytime soon, maybe never. :|

So we're looking for volunteers to do this work. It involves comparing the q3map1 source code to the wq3 version of q3map1 (both of which are available to us), and then using that information to add the special wq3 features to vanilla q3map2.

We've got the source code for wq3 q3map2 now. If you're still interested in a linux binary, we'll see what we can do. ;)

Yeah, I know, I contacted el vakond a while ago and told him to email Red. Anyway, the problem is that I had problems with importing WQ3 textures with the linux Radiant so I have no use for the q3map2 until somebody finds solution for that problem.

Cool anyway.
