In Ballerbude, I've seen all day players trying to connect without success. From Lame site, I read that some of them are getting the message that they are trying to download “sg_pak0.pk3″ file from the server forever. Any suggestion?

Guys, congratulations on the launch, but I couldn't connect. It's the same error some people have already complained here about. It's saying "Could not download "smokinguns/sg_pak0.pk3" file, because autodownloading is forbidden on the server."

I've updated the game files several times. Nothing helped. Any clues? I know, I'm not the only one experiencing the same problem. If someone has overcome it, please share your knowledge )). Hope to see you in game soon.

The Baller Bude servers are running an older version even though they have "1.1" in the name.

It is not necessary to update the game files.
Just download SG1.1.zip and put it in a separate Folder.

I did a clean install(removed all traces of SG 1.0) and installed 1.1.
I had no problems connecting to the Baler Bude servers.
But I did have problems connecting to Jeux Linux.

Question: How do display a herbeat smokinguns only to avoid confusion?

For information: The master server master.q3alive.net is now only registers servers sv_heartbeat smokinguns, ignores the rest. < LINK >

Please distinguish between content, game and server. Baller Bude and Special Bude use the SG1.1 content, so they are SG1.1 compatible:

Those people who try to connect may use an older version of SG. Even if you use SG1.1RC2, you need to update since the sg_pak0.pk3 was changed.

Great!!!

The game is much better to play to me! Even with ping 300-340 i'm playing almost without lag.

Other cool thing: bots throwing knifes and dyna. Is it only in BB or other servers too?

SG 1.1 is great but still need more players :(.

There was a very good reason at the time I have done it, but I can't remember why....
Anyway, it's probably obsolete now, but it will last until next release.

Also, I want more release in the futur, something like "at least one release per year, or release if some breaking news changes occurs, whatever come first" seems good to me.

@ç Mope, if you connect with 1.1rc2 I had this problem. jUst delete every thing of smokin guns and then download 1.1 and it should work :)
