[Proposal] Sprinting

What would you guys think about the ability to sprint? Now, i know most people (including myself) want to avoid getting WQ3 bogged down in a stamina system. So, instead of limiting sprinting like that, how about making gunfire widely inaccurate?

I know one of the big goals is to keep the western "feel", but, i really don't think doing sprinting this way would effect the atmosphere at all, in fact, it might even help add to it.

(Its 3AM here, so if this seems badly written, or simply doesn't make sense, please forgive me ;P)

I must admit I do like the idea of a short burst sprint / stamina system but (with aiming adjusted to reflect movement of body) but I appreciate the limited resources with which this project is being assembled so if it has been decided not too then so be it :)

El Vakond is missing so we are down to one coder who already has his hands full. Adding new features is not as important as fixing bugs at this time. :(

Do we really need sprinting? I'm using the shift key for reloading, so that would mess up my system. :P

But it's one of the things we could consider, I guess. It's not that easy to hit people that are running as it is. We'll see after b2.1, if someone wants to try coding it. But we don't have an animator, so it might never happen.

Looking forward to bug fixes more than anything :) As for sprinting, it's like anything it may seem a good idea but might not work I agree, pointless to spend all that precious time and energy looking at it and working with it to find out it is pant's :)

b2.1 is a mile stone and something to really look forward too, it's the big "hand's up were still here".. ;)

I proposed sprint and climbing on low walls when ICI was still developing WQ3 ;) You have to take one fact into consideration though: It would be really hard to kill a sprinting guy with revolvers etc. - knifes kills would be really easy then.

I've also proposed a jailbreak mode. I don't remember it now, but right now I think about it like this: one player was a prisoner, and one team had to free him, he would be unarmed - but he could pick up weapons dropped by enemies and teammates. His team would have to escort him to the 'drop zone'. They would have to blow up the prison wall or steal a key.
