As you ppl can see, this is my error message when trying to enter a western quake 3 server ! Can please, anyone tell me the correct file structure of you quake 3 instalation files ? Or what kind of mistake this could be ? I can play singleplayer and start a server but not join ...
And i have 2.1 soo i cant understand the Why ?!!?!?

Can you join servers for vanilla q3 or other mods?

What command line are you starting wq3 with when joining a server? Is it different from when you're starting a server or playing singleplayer?

If you installed with one of the zip files instead of the exe, it's possible you extracted the files to the wrong location. Some folks mistakenly extract the files to the baseq3 folder. Others have a "westernq3" folder inside of another "westernq3" folder. Don't feel bad if this is the case.... you aren't alone.

everything is ok in terms of file structure. I think that the only obvious reasion is that my Quake3 copy is .... well ... you know what i mean ...
But i recall that i played true combat mods back in the days with this one ... maybe the serial number ... CHUINF .... ?

You could try just reinstalling q3, then the 1.32 pointrelease. Maybe you have a screwed up pakfile.

Buying q3 shouldn't be expensive nowadays, and it's certainly worth it. Or you can wait for the standalone wq3 release, in a few months.

I downloaded the full.exe and i unpacked everything into Quake 3 Arena/westernq3. all i had to do is bring out the westernq3 folder in to my actual Quake 3 Arena fold and it works perfecty.[/code]
