playing western quake

What do i need to play western quake3? Do i need quake 3 arena and the point release or just the mod? any help would be appreciated.

You need Quake 3 Arena and the newest Point Release (1.31). Then you just download the mod, and unzip it to you q3 directory. Now when you start Q3 there is a point in the menu labled "mods". Click on it and choose Western Quake 3.
