I'm using a mouse from Logitech. I'm not sure if it's really an option from Windows. Perhaps it's an option from Logitech.

Quake 3 is a well known game, so there could be just a list with supported games, which includes Quake 3, but not WQ3.
I just tried it by renaming the wquake3.exe to quake3.exe but this had no effect on my mouse options. :|

Do you use mouseware or setpoint software? I use mouseware 9.80, with 'Disable acceleration in games' checked. 9.80 is a special version only for some mice, so you should probably use the version that came with your mouse. Might be 9.79.

I also use MouseWare Advanced Settings. The only change I make is to uncheck 'Keep mouse speed'. Other than that, it's defaults.
