IS the official master server.
If Tequila feels like this, he can point master.smokin-guns.org:27950 to the same server/service than master.smokinguns.fr.
I agree that it make more sense. (but for the record, we get smokin-guns.org only few days ago).
Note that the firewall issue is solved on master.smokinguns.fr.
ATM, we have got 4 master server:
- master.smokinguns.fr ==> official
- soulserv.net:27950 ==> half-official (since it's my own server and I'm a Dev member, it will not disappears suddenly)
- master.q3alive.net ==> 3rd party
- parttimegeeks.net:27950 ==> 3rd party
Also a big improvement is that the built-in game tracker of the client of the next beta (1.1beta5b) support up to 5 master server.
So we can avoid single point of failure: if the official master server is down, we will not revive the master server crisis we have got.
