I just want to thank the people who brought back this forum: Good work. I have a talented friend who is into web design. Should I ask whether he can design a nice theme for this forum or do you have this already covered? Another thing would be bars and signets, e.g.
one can post on other sites to advertise for Smokin' Guns. Would that help you out?

My daily job is mainly webdesign and graphic design. In spare time I designed some small sites for friends and relatives, and of course for lame-clan.tk. Most of the times I had to theme Drupal and WordPress, never put my hands in a phpBB site before, but this shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you, I still saw your nice work on lame-clan.tk. And nice to here you're also a Drupal theme specialist as this is exactly the CMS I want to use to replace current News forum. I hope do have Drupal site available in a week and if you have a theme for I'll surely give it a try, and if you really want to try to make a theme for the forum, you may want to think of it so it is clean with an associated Drupal site.

And yes, you may announce this forum is available for the public on your blog.

OK, so they are 2 themes to work on. I'm not so fast, but I'll try to have at least a partial theme available in a week (though I can't promise).

BTW, I suppose you already know that internal links are still pointing to smokin-guns.net instead of forum.smokin-guns.org.
Moreover updating all links pointing from lame-clan.tk to this forum, I noticed a little problem with links pointing to a specific comment.
Example:
OLD link "http://www.smokin-guns.net/viewtopic.php?p=6224#6224" (or it was "http://www.smokin-guns.net/viewtopic.php?p=6224#t6224" ... with a "t" after #?) corrected with NEW domain "http://forum.smokin-guns.org/viewtopic.php?p=6224#6224" points to the thread, not to the comment. New URL is in fact "http://forum.smokin-guns.org/viewtopic.php?p=6224#p6224" (notice the p after #).

Surely, this new forum needs a new design here, it's currently usable but not so eye candy. The problem is actually coming from new players, I just saw that the old domain name is not linked to this forum. If someone can do it, it would be just awesome. With this current state, I don't think that newcomers will appreciate the old and very common design here. They won't find the files of the game either...

Hi Barto, I just used your bar to visualize what I was talking about. Didn't knew you designed it yourself. Due to the domain name change, it would have to be updated anyway.

to be honest I never paid attention to userbars, I consider them just an annoying intrusion in the overall site appearance. I never understood what they mean, but I'm old, you know ...
That said, Barto's userbar is really really nice, and I don't think I'll try to redesign it since it's already cool. Doc, if you have good ideas about it (and I know you have), you can post them here so we can see if Barto can design something better

For a cool site you have to wait, Barto. I'm not Mandrake Cross your fingers.
