I am new at this forum and I want to show all normal-SG Player how to use (and create) a own script...
I will show you how to switch between binds (weapon-binds, chat-binds, name-binds)
First of all you need to create a new text-document and name it binds.txt.
Then you need to bind a key for changing between binds.
- Code: Select all
bind BACKSPACE "vstr binds"
After this you need to set a function for this command "binds"
- Code: Select all
set binds "vstr weapons"
Now you are using the weapons command while pressing BACKSPACE.
Set Weapons
- Code: Select all
set weapons "echo ^1W^7eaponsbinds used!; set binds vstr chat; bind ENTER cg_buy weapon_peacemaker"
Here you get and echo (a message from the console) that says you that you use weapon-binds at the moment and he sets the ENTER key to buy a weapon and (last but not least) he sets that you use chat-binds while pressing BACKSPACE next time.
Set Chat
- Code: Select all
set chat "echo ^2C^7hatbinds used!; set binds vstr weapons; bind ENTER say ^1H^7i^1!"
Now you are using chatbinds and set ENTER to say Hi!.
And at the end you set that you use the weaponbinds (again) by pressing BACKSPACE.
You can add so many commands and bind how you want and this will make easy to buy, chat or switch between names without binding all keys on your keyboard.
It's really usefull to use the KeyPad (on the right site of your keyboard)...
The keys are
- Code: Select all
1 = KP_END
2 = KP_DownArrow
3 = KP_PgDn
4 = KP_LeftArrow
5 = KP_5
6 = KP_RightArrow
7 = KP_HOME
8 = KP_UpArrow
9 = KP_PgUp
0 = KP_INS
Others
[,] is KP_DEL
[ENTER] is KP_ENTER
[+] is KP_PLUS
[-] is KP_MINUS
[/] is KP_SLASH
If you want to save your changes just save [CTRL + S] and rename the text-document to binds.cfg
Then you need to put this document in to your ".../Smokin' Guns/smokinguns" folder and start Smokin' Guns.
Now write:
- Code: Select all
/exec binds.cfg
For question just ask and sorry for my bad English
