you simply need to add the "^" character and then a number:
^7 (white)

i'm playing the 1.b4 version and some colours are different to coloured names in version 1.0.
An example: Black names are orange, dark blue is bright blue....and so on...
and i've got another problem, how can i change my names colour to black.....everytime i tried it it changed to white.

we had set more color in SG 1.1b4. To know how, check this thread: A little extension for text color scheme

The scheme should be backward compatible and a reference page is available there: Color codes - WolfWiki

About the black color, we have noticed cheaters and TKs are often using this color to hide their name making it harder to be read by other players... Their goal is to be kicked as late as possible. So we just disabled this support in SG 1.1b.

So it's possible your black part is just taking the colour from the previous part. But tell us if you think there may be a bug. But in that case, show us your complete name string, so we can check.

the first link is offline...
but why are names, which are black, more difficult to check, as green ones etc.
For example ^1^8TheDoktor^1^ uses black letters.......

If you want black, use 0 instead of 8. It's just by chance that 8 is black, in 1.1 it's orange ;)
