Startup bugs and map load error

I can't run smokinguns from the terminal as like I installed it from the .deb repos

I get this in the terminal

How do I fix this?

It was working fine just after I installed it and now, even after a sudo apt-get -f install nothing works

I also get a Zmap allocation error on some maps

Hi, I suggest two things: first, you could try to temporarily move your SG user directory by commanding as the user, which executes SG:

The user directory contains SG's configuration as well as any downloaded additions, which could be the cause of your troubles. In this case, moving this directory would solve your problem.

Second, regarding your log, the only line hinting towards an error was:
log wrote:recursive error after: Requested feature was omitted at compile time.
I don't know exactly what this means, but it could point out that a dependency (of the compiled SG binary) is not satisfied. You could try to compile SG from source code.

Please report back, if this helps or not.

Howdy,

can you report also what arguments you gave on the command line to smokinguns binary ?

Another point, I see you have a /home/me/.smokinguns/smokinguns/zvm.pk3 file which is not part of the game and seems to contains 116 files. Can you try removing it and report the output ?
