Pardner wrote:DO NOT MODIFY ANY FILES IN THE INCLUDED PK3
If you want to modify files, you will need to copy them out of the pk3, modify them, and then zip them up into a new pk3. So if you want to make new bot files, you will need to copy the following out of sg_pak0.pk3:
- botfiles/bots/male1_c.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_i.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_t.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_w.c
Then rename them to something like:
- botfiles/bots/male1_portuguese_c.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_portuguese_i.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_portuguese_t.c
- botfiles/bots/male1_portuguese_w.c
EDIT: You must then modify male1_portuguese_c.c to point to the other male1_portuguese_*.c
Then have your bot use the male1_portuguese bot file:
- Code: Select all
{
name Pardner
funname "^3Pardner"
model wq_male2/red
aifile bots/male1_portuguese_c.c
}
Pardner wrote:So here is the problem, you modified files in sg_pak0.pk3, then you uploaded the entire sg_pak0.pk3 (hence why it took 2 hours to upload) I know I said it before and I will say it again:
NEVER MODIFY FILES IN THE ORIGINAL PK3s
I already wrote a tutorial for you on how to make your bots use a different botfile:Pardner wrote:DO NOT MODIFY ANY FILES IN THE INCLUDED PK3

Looking through your pk3, you did not follow any of what I posted. There isn't any botfiles name male1_portuguese_i.*, and you have no new bots created.
I have a working bot package here on my PC, but I am going to let you make your own. The files I have here are not translated as you failed to include your translated/modified files. For reference, my package is only 5.9KB and would take 5 minutes to upload on my parents 24Kbps modem internet.

Why on earth would you send me your backup version of the original pack files?Manoel Victor wrote:I created these when your files there, the "Portuguese", give that error.
I need these in order to tell you what the problem is.Manoel Victor wrote:Please pass me your bot files
nope, you can do this
Pardner wrote:OK, you renamed the files, and you modified both the male1_portuguese_c.c and male1_portuguese_t.c.... but you removed all the new lines in the entire file. All your text in the file are all on the same line.
What program are you using to make your modifications? Also, if ever asked to change the format, say no. You need to keep the files in C format.

What ever you use, you need to preserve the newlines
