Hello people.
I got a strange idea for a new game mode for Smokin 'Guns.
Have you ever played Call of Duty World at War? Or Black Ops?
As you may know the two titles mentioned above, there is the Nazi zombie mode, so why not do a zombie-mode for Smokin'Guns?
Do you like the idea?

There is also the video game Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, a game set in the Far West with the zombies.

I thought zombie mode would be a fun gamemode for SG, but Grelouk is right.... who ever heard of zombies in a spaghetti western (RDR was an abomination of a good series). BUT, why have zombies..... when you could have holdout mode. There was a holdout in just about all the spaghetti western films. Instead of zombies, why not have a mass of lawmen/outlaws surrounding a single house.

Certainly, I know that the zombie theme misses a lot with the spaghetti western, but it would be fun for me.
Not only with a house under siege, but also an open map like the Alamo.
And then there are some sci-fi western movies, like "Wild Wild West" and the recent "Cowboy vs. Aliens."
So why not even zombies?

You can play zombie mode by playing with your friends in private. (or in other public server which is empty)
Zombies are normal guys who have knife.
Survivor can use other weapons.

Or do you mean that there is small bunker which you are defending from zombies?

Of course you can also play well, but it would be nice if there were a gamemode apart.
Rather than a bunker, a fortress would be nice (like the Alamo) besieged by zombies.

Since my idea, it seems not like it, I was thinking to develop the zombies from "mod" Smokin 'Guns alone.
What software can I use?
Any advice?

The reason why there seems like very little interest is because the development team is struggling just to maintain the current versions of Smokin' Guns. A Zombie mod would require code modification, new maps, and new models. It is a large undertaking.

• The source code is available from sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/smokinguns/
• For maps I suggest reading the mapping tutorials. Start with GTK Radiant 1.4 if you are on windows: viewtopic.php?t=1491
• For making new models you will need a 3D modeling software like 3DMax, Blender, or MilkShake.

There are a few things I would like to do for my own ideas, but I think that they would help a zombie mode. I would like to create bot-only spawnpoints and player only spawnpoints. Would be useful for a zombie mode. BUT, I really need to finish my current SG projects before I start another project.
