I'm going to install Quake3 today if I find the cd. I lost my original game (some time have passed since the premiere) so I hope I will be able to connect with a fake cdkey... anyway, I love this mod too much (this atmosphere!) so I have to get back even though I have no time for anything - being an university student SUX - exams... ;)

Ah, I watched the movie Evil Futsin made and I couldn't resist. Sent it to some friends. Great that you guys are working on a patch.

Hello! It's always nice to get a new player in the wq3 community, we sure don't have too many these days.

About the cd key thing. I tried lots of cdkeys I found on the web last year, before resorting to buy the game for $30. Couldn't find it cheaper anywhere, it's so old that many shops don't sell it anymore. And buying a second hand copy is risky, you can't be sure that the owner hasn't given the cdkey to all is friends, and then it's blocked most of the time because too many are using it simultaneously. But I sure think it was worth the money.

Well, I've been in the WQ3 community for a very long time ;)
Anyway, I'm not going to buy another Q3 copy - people can disable CD KEY checking on the servers - I knew I did back in the days on my server.

Don't the servers that don't check you cdkey get removed from the master server? That's not good.

That would make sense ... I remember that dolny's server did not show up on ID's master server. I had to add it manually to the server list on bootblock.de/wq3

Hmmm. I've been running my no-cd-check server for months. Shows up in ASE and bootblock fine. :o

Maybe the master server doesn't filter out those servers anymore? But I'm sure there was something you could do that would make your server not show up in the list. But if dolny's trick works, then I guess it's okay.
